Yellow leaves turn red only if they have lots of sugar in their sap and the sun shines on them. The more sugar a leaf has, the redder it becomes. If a leaf is kept in the shade, it will stay yellow, even if it has a lot of sugar.

DID YOU KNOW...??

Deciduous forests are one of the world's six major life zones: the often frozen tundra, the mostly evergreen taiga, temperate (mild) deciduous forest, topical rain forest, grassland and savanna, and desert.

First, no matter what you're making, think of throwing some vegetables in with the main course. If you're making spaghetti sauce, throw some bell peppers, onions, carrots, and fresh tomatoes in with the sauce. If you like, you can also add mushrooms, garlic, or other vegetables you enjoy. Bell peppers, mushrooms, and onions give sauce a great new flavor. Carrots can hardly be tasted! And if you don't like carrots very much, boil them and puree them before adding them to the sauce. You won't taste them, but you'll get their nutrition!

Regular exercise not only benefits the figure, but improves the health of the skin and the hair, by supplying more oxygen to the tissues. Great, toned legs can be yours too if you are ready to take some time off your busy schedule and get started with a simple exercise regimen. It takes more than just running or brisk walking to attain those absolutely divine legs. You need to do regular crunches, squats and plunges. 10 repetitions everyday would guarantee leaner, shapely calves. Even simple skipping helps you to tone the flab around the waist, hips and the calves. But it must be done consistently and in a months time you will see the results for yourself.

Gemstones in the World (coming soon)
Diamond

Only the clearest diamond become glittering gems. But because of their hardness, even dull-looking diamonds are still valuable as cutting tools. These are called 'industrial diamonds'. Only about 25 per cent of all diamonds are fine enough to become jewels, so most of the world's diamond are the hard-working insdustiral ones.

DID YOU KNOW..?

The hope diamond is one of the biggest blue diamonds known in the world. Unfortunately it is supposed to be cursed. Several of its owners have died tragically or have had very bad luck.

The heart lies within the pericardium, which is attached to the walls of the great vessels and to the diaphragm. The pericardiumcan be visualized best as a bag into which the heart has beenplaced apex first. The inner layer, in direct contact with theheart, is the visceral epicardium, which encases the heart andextends several centimeters back onto the walls of the greatvessels. The outer layer forms the parietal pericardium, whichlines the inner surface of the tough fibrous pericardial sack. A thin film of lubricating fluid lies within the pericardial cavity between the two serous layers. Two identifiable recesses lie within the pericardium and are lined by the serous layer. The first is the transverse sinus, which is delineated anteriorly by the posterior surface of the aorta and pulmonary trunk andposteriorly by the anterior surface of the interatrial groove. The second is the oblique sinus, a cul-de-sac located behind the left atrium, delineated by serous pericardial reflections from the pulmonary veins and the inferior vena cava.

Dr. Akash Nanda, from Boston, has found that when men with coronary artery disease-induced congestive heart failure or heart attack receive hormone therapy before or along with radiation therapy for treatment of prostate cancer, they have an associated increased risk of death.

His study report says that patients with localized prostate cancer have several options available for treatment, including the use of brachytherapy (treatment in which radioactive seeds are implanted in the prostate), both as monotherapy and in conjunction with external beam radiation therapy.
